Climate change and environmental degradation
Climate change refers to the long-term changes in temperature, precipitation, wind patterns, and other measures of climate that occur over several decades or longer. It is primarily caused by human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, and agricultural practices. Environmental degradation refers to the decline in the quality of the natural environment, including air, water, and soil pollution, as well as loss of biodiversity and damage to ecosystems.
Climate change and environmental degradation are closely linked, as human activities that contribute to climate change also contribute to environmental degradation. Both issues have significant negative impacts on human health and well-being, as well as on the economies and societies that depend on natural resources.
